Holly works between between the boundaries of design and ethics, and between research and practice. She seeks to support the responsible innovation and implementation of data and internet technologies.
Holly currently is a post doctoral researcher in ethics and philosophy of technology at Delft University of Technology (NL) where she is investigating the responsible innovation of sensor technologies that are currently being developed in laboratory contexts. She is also a member of the Delft Design for Values Institute.
She is a co-founder and board member of the Just Things Foundation, which promotes the responsible development of internet-connected technologies throughout Europe.
Holly completed her PhD in Industrial Design at Delft University of Technology (NL) where she used design as a means to explore how to make black boxes more legible to lay people.
